hi sweet friends! My name is MiCaela (you can call me Mick) and I'm an elopement + destination wedding photographer based in Colorado, but I travel worldwide for love stories! I'm an avid memory-maker, love enthusiast, and down for any crazy adventure outdoors! I am so happy you are here!
Adventuring over a no-trespassing sign at sunrise to get these gorgeous shots of these two will always be worth it! Got to live up to their love story of risk-taking, adventure seeking, and their cross-country love story!
Luke and Jordi are sweet friends of mine that I met about 3 years ago and I actually got to watch their beautiful love story unfold in New Zealand!
Luke and I were on staff with a non-profit called Youth With a Mission in Oxford, New Zealand when Jordi came in as a student for the Climbers Discipleship Training School; and you wouldn’t be too surprised to hear that Luke was Jordi’s school leader. They journeyed together through the school being cautious of developing feelings for one another, but pretty much knew they liked each other fairly quickly. Once Jordi graduated from her school and decided to come on as staff feelings began to grow and moves were made!
Not even a few months later Luke proposed to Jordi at the end of a hike on top of a mountain in New Zealand and we all celebrated by throwing a big ‘ole crazy freaking party!
Fast forward to 3 years later and they are married and were living in Colorado Springs, Colorado for quite awhile before now moving to South Dakota!!!
The main things I love about this couple is their intentional love for one another, their absolute LOVE for crazy adventure, care-free attitude, and their ability to have some freaking fun!
When I asked them what exactly do you want to remember about your relationship 20 years from now they said: “How much fun we have. All of the stupid jokes and random BS”.
So without further ado here’s a beautiful representation of all the fun they have together through some adventury, quirky photos!
And of course when I asked Jordi what her favorite habit of Luke’s was she said, “Not sure if this counts as a habit, but when he forgets to take his slippers off when we go out anywhere!”
So we decided to take it up a notch and make some coffee in their robes as they watched the sun come up and fill Garden of the Gods with warmth and sunshine!
